Flutter is based on Dart , a modern programming language (developed by Google) which is very easy to learn if you already know Java or JavaScript . You can start to familiarize yourself with Dart by reading its documentation which is good quality, easy to follow and available on the official website . Dart was originally designed by Google for the web. In addition to being able to use Dart with Flutter, you can create a web app, command line script, or server-side app. Dart compiles in JavaScript and machine language. Learning Dart has a definite advantage. You can build your client and server applications with Dart and without using another language.

Flutter does not use the webview as it does with Cordova and PhoneGap . Cordova and PhoneGap apps are basically JavaScript / HTML / CSS apps disguised as native mobile apps.

Unlike React Native , Flutter comes with a large number of UI widgets out of the box. The entire user interface of a Flutter application is written in Dart. You don’t need to use external DSL UIs (i.e. HTML or XML files).

Flutter widgets are not native widgets as they are with React or Xamarin. Flutter draws these graphic components himself. Because there is a cost to using native UI components, platforms are updated regularly, which can take longer for a framework to adapt to new versions.

While solutions like Xamarin are good at sharing logical codes, they are not ideal for reusing application UI code. As for Flutter, its engine has everything you need to create the user interface of your application. As a result, Dart does not use a bridge to communicate with the native modules of the device it is running on. And Flutter applications are directly compiled in machine language, which is a guarantee of performance and uniqueness of your application. Your application will be just as efficient as it is identical (interface) whatever the platform (Android, iOS, etc.).

With Dart’s JIT ( Just-In-Time ) mode of operation , the developer benefits from a very useful feature: Hot Reload . The idea of Hot Reload with Flutter is to correct the problem of the time required between each build. This feature helps the developer to create user interfaces, experiment and add different features, as well as quickly find and fix bugs without having to rebuild their application every time. The development of a Flutter application then becomes much faster.

The developer can also access native features such as software development kits (SDKs), third-party libraries, and reuse existing native code (Swift, Objective C, Java, and Kotlin).

Flutter is then positioned as a serious competitor in mobile and desktop development facing solutions like React, Electron, Xamarin, Nativescript etc.

However, it is also true that competition in the Android development world is increasing today. And in this scenario, it is important to know other programming languages besides Java, which will allow you to develop applications for both Android and iOS.

INDEX – Frameworks and programming languages for Android

NativeScript

React Native

Ionic

Xamarin

Kotlin

Flutter

Environments to create an Android application

How to create an Android application without using Java? We show it to you in this list of 6 programming environments. Let’s go.

# 1 NativeScript

NativeScript is an open source Android and iOS development environment for building mobile applications, with Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript or JavaScript. The main advantage of this programming environment is native performance. You only need to set it once and NativeScript will adapt to work anywhere, adapting the user interface of certain devices and displays.

Another advantage is its extensibility . You will have access to the Android APIs, but you will be able to reuse the Android SDK, as well as find free plugins or templates on the NativeScript store.

Also, if you start programming Android apps with NativeScript, you will find it easy to learn . You will be able to apply the knowledge you have already acquired in JavaScript and CSS, but you will also have a multitude of resources , tutorials and examples, as well as a strong user community that will get you up and running. faster than you think.

# 2 React Native

React Native is a framework by Facebook that allows you to build native Android apps using JavaScript . This is something that was already allowed by others like Cordova , but with the difference that with React Native, apps are rendered using native views, while in Cordova they work inside a webview.

React Native has access to Android APIs, so the user experience and performance is similar to that of a native app. Another advantage is the ease of viewing changes by simply recording. Thanks to JavaScript, React Native lets you iterate quickly, without having to wait for native builds to complete.

Without a doubt, this framework is a safe bet, because it is supported by Facebook but above all by a large community of users. In 2018, React Native was the second highest number of contributions to GitHub repositories.

# 3 Ionic

Ionic is an open source code framework for developing hybrid applications , combining Html5, CSS and Javascript . Free and open source, Ionic offers a library of components, gestures and user interface tools optimized for mobile devices, allowing to build fast and highly interactive applications.

Ionic 5, the latest version of the framework, is designed for fast performance on any device . It helps build fast and optimized Android apps that incorporate best practices. Additionally, Ionic provides easy access to native features through JavaScript. A library of native plug-ins is available to access geolocation, Bluetooth or camera without any complexity.

# 4 Xamarin

Xamarin is an Android development environment created by Microsoft that allows you to create applications in C#. It is free and integrated into Visual Studio.

Although it does not develop for Android in Java, Xamarin allows you to build a native application that ensures a good user experience, which is essential for any application. Additionally, if you need to develop a cross-platform application , you can do so with Xamarin.

On the other hand, C # language is easier to learn than other Android programming languages. So if Java isn’t your strong suit, Xamarin might be the best solution for building great Android apps.

# 5 Kotlin

Kotlin is a static-type Android programming language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine. However, creating Android apps with Kotlin has the advantage of simplicity. In Kotlin, you can do more with less code, which translates to a lower probability of errors.

Another advantage of Kotlin is that it is much more secure than Java, and the code is easier to understand when read by someone else. In addition, the compiler helps to detect compilation errors, which helps reduce possible errors. With Kotlin, you can program on Android, but also on iOS since it is cross-platform. All of this makes Kotlin a safe and reliable alternative to Java.

# 6 Flutter

Flutter is a Google SDK designed to build Android and iOS apps, for mobile, web, and desktop, from a single codebase. Its programming language is Dart and it is characterized by the fact that it allows fast Android application development thanks to the Hot Reload feature . It allows modifications to be made without having to stop and start the application, which makes programming more efficient since it reduces waiting times.

Conclusion

This framework allows you to create features quickly, with a native user experience. It is undoubtedly one of the SDKs with the most projection, since everything indicates that it will be with the new Android devices that are developed.

In this article, we have given you some ideas on how to build Android apps, which require different development skills. But if you need help programming on Android, have you considered having Elitech Systems?

Kotlin is a general, open source programming language for JVM and Android that combines object-oriented and functional programming features.

Kotlin was created in 2010 by JetBrains, the company behind IntelliJ IDEA, and has been open source since 2012. The Kotlin team currently has more than 20 full-time JetBrains members, and the Kotlin project on GitHub around 100 contributors. JetBrains uses Kotlin in many of its products, including its flagship product IntelliJ IDEA.

Brevity

One of the main reasons why developers prefer Kotlin to Java is the brevity of the language. Java seems quite verbose in comparison. The brevity reduces the number of errors in the code. It also means a much faster production rate.

Open-source

Since 2012, JetBrains has declared that Kotlin is an open-source project. As an open source language, a developer can expect high quality development, while enjoying significant support from the Kotlin Slack team.

Safer

Kotlin is considered a much safer option than Java. One of the major problems with Java is the design of the language itself, which results in more work and therefore more money and time spent on the project.

For example, null pointers are the most error prone points when working with Java. Whereas, in Kotlin, null pointers do exist, the language offers new functionalities making it possible to carry out the verification of “nullability” of these pointers.

Easier to Learn than Java

Being similar to other Java compatible languages, Kotlin is easier to learn. It is also easy to understand and read by someone foreign to the language, because the code is easier to understand. It also helps him avoid mistakes.

JetBrains has made it a priority to make the transition from Java to simple as they had to implement it for their own products.

It is a language that is very similar to what a Java developer already understands. The only complex elements of Kotlin are those that are missing in Java.

Kotlin offers developers the opportunity to be more creative and solve problems differently. It also makes learning more enjoyable.

Mature Language

Unlike other languages like Swift, the Kotlin version went through many stages before releasing the final 1.0 version.

This means that there are practically no problems working with Kotlin, everything works as you would expect.

The IDE plugin works without problems, and already allows many features that you like and use in Java. Therefore, working with Kotlin is great in that sense.

It is interesting to know that before its final version, the language spent several years in alpha then in beta. And even before the beta was released, people were using it in real projects

Cross Platform

Kotlin is more native than Xamarin, React Native or Flutter. Currently, Kotlin has a strong and enthusiastic base of developers around the world and is praised by the community for providing a superior development experience.

Kotlin allows developers to write once, test once, and then use the same code on iOS, Android, and web applications.

As a language, it allows developers to produce applications more consistently. It is a modern language that integrates with native platforms of Android, iOS, Java and the web, allowing development teams to build on what has already been coded.

And since it is essentially an extension of Java, it is relatively easy for Java developers to get started. Kotlin doesn’t stray too far from Swift either and from Touchlab.

Conclusion

To conclude, Kotlin is 100% compatible with Java, which means that it is possible for small and large organizations to switch to Kotlin.

However, this transition must be well planned and requires the expertise of developers and their experience in handling similar projects in the past.

A good way to start is to take it step by step and then build on that experience.

Kotlin is a friendly language for developers, and it will allow them to design new solutions to common problems.

And it is now an official language for the development of Android!

Nowadays, there are mobile apps for almost everything – entertainment, news, sports… and even to make life easier for businesses! This latter type of app is commonly referred to as a “business application” or “internal application”.

An enterprise application often aims to increase employee productivity, efficiently manage large amounts of data, and / or optimize processes.

Unlike consumer applications (such as social networks, mobile games, or e-commerce applications), a business mobile application with the goal of meeting the specific needs of an organization.

In this article, we will discuss the benefits of a mobile business application and the different options available to you.

Reasons why companies create their own apps

Enterprise applications are often designed to complement other systems used by the enterprise. They must be flexible and adapt to existing systems.

The development of internal applications has increased significantly in the last two years. Here are the reasons why an internal application can make a big difference to your business:

Better return on investment

One of the main reasons why companies invest in one or more applications is simple: Get better ROI. According to a report by VMware, companies that invest in a mobile application generate an average return on investment of 150% across all industries.

While a consumer application generates direct revenue through its monetization strategy (in-app purchases, advertising, etc.), the return on investment of a business application is measured in terms of productivity and efficiency.

Employee productivity

A mobile app can help you increase the productivity of your employees by giving them the ability to work and stay connected without being in front of their computer. They can be active and work from anywhere, anytime.

Mobile application integration has become a must have for the most competitive companies. Why? Because they allow the transmission of information and updates in real time. They can save time and money. In addition, organizations that follow this trend seem more attractive to their future employees.

Process optimization

An added benefit is the ability to optimize internal processes. For example, you can choose to evaluate the time needed to complete a task or a process. Having access to this information through an app will help you solve recurring problems and make informed decisions.

The key to optimizing processes is to start tracking them as soon as possible. With the data generated over time, the average cycle time can be used to detect weaknesses, changes or deviations in time.

Data exploitation

An enterprise application allows employees to access, for example, customer data in real time. All important data is instantly accessible thanks to the constant synchronization of the various devices via the application.

With this information, you give your employees all the information they need to keep up to date with the latest changes. In addition, it can detect problems or opportunities more quickly.

Source of information

Sharing information via an in-house application is a good solution to reduce costs and especially communication errors. Think about instructions, brochures, user manuals, safety rules and even bonus programs. Everyone has access to the same information and official versions of each document.

In addition to this, the internal application can be used to share the news of the company. A new employee? an important strategic decision? Event? Share all this directly within the enterprise application.

Types of business application for your business

Now that we have seen the benefits of creating an internal app for your business, we will introduce you to their types.

Enterprise applications can be divided into 4 categories:

Enterprise Systems

Designed to model and automate processes by integrating information from multiple departments. The data scattered in different systems can circulate fluidly between the different departments of the organization.

Supply Chain Management Systems

Intended to help companies manage relationships with their partners. Logistics companies, distributors, buyers and suppliers can share real-time information to buy, produce and deliver goods and services efficiently.

Customer Relationship Management Systems

Designed to align the actions of a company’s departments such as Sales and Marketing to its customers. The goal is to generate more revenue, improve customer satisfaction rates and facilitate loyalty.

Knowledge management system

Aims to support processes of identification, codification and knowledge sharing within an organization. Whether this knowledge is internal or external, such a management system makes it possible to centralize everything. It allows employees to train and integrate new concepts. If the company already has an intranet, it can be integrated or connected to the application.

Conclusion

Optimizing processes, increasing productivity and getting a better return on investment are just a few of the benefits of a business mobile app.

At Yeeply, we know that creating a mobile app can solve many internal problems. We see this strategy as a modern way to collect, share and analyze data to achieve your goals more effectively. As experts in the application development industry, we have helped many organizations develop an enterprise application so that they can differentiate and reap the full benefits.

In this article, we will talk about progressive web apps (PWA) . For that, we will first define what a progressive web application is, then we will consider its advantages and disadvantages. Finally, we will show you a successful example of PWA.

What are the progressive web apps?

When we talk about progressive web applications, we are not talking about a new structure or a new technology. It is a set of practical improvements that make a web application work in a similar way to a desktop or mobile application. The goal is to have a similar or similar experience to a native application so that the user does not notice the difference between a native application and a PWA. .

First of all, you have to distinguish between websites accessible from a mobile browser and applications that are downloaded from a store. On the one hand, we have mobile websites, responsive websites and web apps . On the other hand, we have native applications and hybrid applications.

The progressive web apps can be defined as a kind of mix between web apps and native apps. It is important to note that the fundamental difference is that a PWA can be installed from a browser window without having to go through an App Store.

Pros and cons of progressive web apps

You may be wondering why it would be more interesting to choose a web app that mimics native apps, rather than a native app directly? Discover the advantages and disadvantages of PWA.

Advantages

Progressive web applications offer many benefits for developers and users.

PWAs usually work faster than a website.

They are accessible offline.

They are responsive and therefore work with any operating system and any electronic device format.

PWAs work like a native application: the icon appears on the phone like any other application, push notifications can be sent and they have access to certain phone features.

PWAs are found in search engines and Google’s algorithm highlights them.

They capture the attention of the user because they allow sending notifications.

It is not necessary to install it via an app store. This is a plus for the user and the owner. For the former, this is advantageous because it does not need to go through the application store and the second does not need to comply with the rules of the app stores.

They take up less space in the device’s memory because there is no need to download it.

disadvantages

Although PWA is an innovative application and has several beneficial features such as those mentioned above, it also has some weaknesses.

It does not benefit from app store traffic : Listed as an advantage, it is a double-edged sword because many users search their apps exclusively on app stores.

They consume a lot of battery : the PWA consume more energy than the native applications, because the code is much more complex. The devices have more difficulty interpreting it.

They do not have access to all the features of the phone: This can be considered as an important weak point for PWAs compared to native applications.

Some features are not compatible with iOS : Although most users use devices with an Android operating system, PWAs are not optimized to be compatible with iOS and this represents their great weakness.

An example of a progressive web app

Lancôme is a French luxury brand renowned in the world of cosmetics and belongs to the group L’Oreal. Despite the increased use of smartphones, they noticed that there were fewer conversions on mobile devices than on computers. That’s why they decided to invest in a PWAto reduce the bounce rate of mobile devices. The result was very positive:

Increased conversions by 17%

Increased baskets conversion rate with 8% push notifications

Decrease of 15% in the bounce rate

51% increase in the number of sessions via mobile device

84% reduction in time required for page interactivity

Would you like to develop a progressive web app?

The impact of progressive web apps has been demonstrated in terms of performance and conversions. In addition, it is a practical alternative and more economical , since it is not necessary to go through a specific developer for each operating system.

The application development process is divided into two parts: front-end and backend.

It takes about 10 weeks to create a back-end part of a standard native application (Android or iOS). The front-end development of the application with basic functionality may take about 8 weeks. Developers can further use specialized tools to quickly update the application across multiple platforms and devices. However, it is always important for the company to customize the application to each platform to increase user-friendliness and user experience. Similarly, the company must test the mobile platform across the platform thoroughly and efficiently to make it popular and profitable in the long run.

5 Best Practices for Mobile App Testing

1) Define App’s functional requirements clearly

In order to identify all defects in the application, QA professionals must clearly understand their functional requirements. The clearly defined functional requirements will further help the company to test the app effectively across multiple devices, platforms, and networks. The company must compile a comprehensive list of functional requirements in the app and share it with the tests from the beginning. The list will make it easier for testers to identify the expected errors or errors in the application by testing the app in most suitable scenarios.

2) Follow the guidelines for each mobile platform

Each mobile platform requires app developers to follow certain guidelines. So every company must follow the standards recommended by each mobile platform on functionality, content, and user interface design (user interface). When the app complies with these guidelines, it will run smoothly on the mobile platform. The company must ensure that both developers and testers know the guidelines recommended by each targeted mobile platform. The understanding will help QA professionals to test the application on each platform according to rules and standards.

3) Maintain a balance between simulators and real devices

mobile platforms across platforms, no business can afford to invest in a wide range of mobile devices powered by larger mobile platforms. So many companies use simulators and emulators to test mobile apps without spending a lot of money. But each company must remember that emulators and simulators do not provide 100% accurate and reliable test results. Therefore, it must create a test lab that contains both real devices and emulators. It is also important for the project manager to divide the tests across real devices and emulators. For example, emulators can be used to perform unit testing and integration testing. On the other hand, testers must use genuine devices to perform device profiling and regression, performance, compatibility, and security testing.

4) Select the right cross-platform Mobile App Testing Tools

No company can rely on manual testing to evaluate a mobile platform on an efficient platform efficiently. It is always important for the company to set up a testing laboratory consisting of the right testing automation tools. Each company has the ability to choose from several platforms for mobile app testing tools, including MonkeyTalk, M-eux, EggPlant, Squish, DeviceAnywhere, and MobileCloud. Most of these tools are cloud-based and evaluate apps through platform scripts. But the company must remember that each of these tools has its own strengths and shortcomings. So it must choose the right tool and framework according to specific requirements of the project. A company may also consider investing in testing tools that support multiple targeted mobile platforms.

5) Test the app under real terms

In order to assess the functionality, performance and user experience of a mobile app, the testers must test it in different environments and conditions. It is also important for the company to investigate how to test the mobile platform across the platform under real-world conditions. A company also has a number of options for testing the mobile app in real-life terms. For example, it may facilitate field testing to make it easier for testers to evaluate the application under different conditions and at different network speeds. Similarly, a company can choose crowdsourced tests to get applications tested by real users across different devices, platforms, and conditions.
It is also important for the company to create and implement a custom test strategy for each cross-platform mobile app. The comprehensive strategy will make it easier for QA professionals to evaluate the application thoroughly across multiple platforms and devices in accordance with the specific requirements and goals of the company.

Want to know how to create an application ? You have an idea but do not know where to start? Especially for you, Elitech Systems has designed a step-by-step plan to help you. The process of developing an application can be divided into 6 steps that each entrepreneur or company must go through. Let’s start now to discover how to create a mobile app!

How to create an application?

1st step: The idea

Every successful product, service, or business started with an idea. This idea can stem from different situations such as identifying a need or the need to help others, for example. Maybe your idea can improve a process in your business, or help your customer service? In any case, to have an idea of application is one thing, to know if it is worth it is another.

It is therefore recommended to ask these two questions:

How does the idea suit me?

How does the idea fit the market?

You are the one who will make this application a success. Many cases prove that it is the people behind an application that turn the idea into a success, like Jan Koum with Whatsapp or Evan Spiegel with Snapchat. So, how much do you believe in your project? And how motivated are you to make it prosper?

If you are enthusiastic, then the question is whether the idea suits the market. Your target must also be conquered in order to download and use the app. You can determine it by analyzing the characteristics of your target. Do you offer them a solution? What does your application bring them?

2nd step: The objective

The second step is to determine your main goal. What do you want to accomplish with this application? For what reason (s) do you want to create a mobile app?

If your goal is to make money, you will have to start by creating a business plan. Think about monetization strategies for your application and financing your project. If your investment is to be recovered directly through the application, you will need to choose the most suitable solution in terms of profitability.

While most applications are developed to (possibly) generate revenue, they can be created for other reasons.

You can create a mobile application for a specific purpose, such as optimizing your company’s internal processes, saving money, helping others, or promoting your business. Whatever your idea, be sure to know exactly what your main goal is.

3rd step: The target

Your target and commitment determine the success of your application in two ways:

If the app is downloaded and used because it meets the need (s) of the users.

If the use is frequent and durable because users are satisfied with the interface and features.

The top three reasons for downloading a functional app are fun, usefulness or because it’s been recommended. For mobile games, it works in the same way but another factor takes into account: the critical mass, or the number of users. This means that it will be important to rank well, rated and criticized on the App Store or Google Play. However, for functional applications, this does not matter much of the time.

4th step: The concept

At this point, your idea, goal and target should be clearly defined. The next step is to combine this with the benefits offered by mobile technologies. In this way, you will create a solid concept for your application. The key factors to aim fair will be the business plan, the design and the technology used.

For a successful application, you need to define why you are developing it, who you are developing it for, how much you want to generate, and who will be responsible for its development.

Plus, your users will love your app if they appreciate its use. To create an optimal user experience, the aesthetic appearance and ease of use will be critical. That’s why it’s important to hire a certified designer who will create a thoughtful interface, satisfying the users. In addition, a clear and aesthetic interface will allow the user to navigate easily and quickly perform the task he wants to accomplish.

The development techniques of the app, on the one hand, will offer a perfectly functioning app and, on the other hand, will allow the incorporation of innovative technologies.

Remember to implement the latest technology trends such as geofencing, Beacon, IoT (IoT), or augmented reality. Take the challenge and see beyond an application that works well. Be original and consider innovative technological solutions !

Step 5: The development process

Once you know exactly what your application will look like, it’s time to find the right developer.

We recommend that you choose a team of experienced developers who specialize in the type of app you want to create. Since it is never easy to find the right developer (s), using an online marketplace can be helpful.

Elitech Systems, for example, is a quality marketplace for mobile development. It is a pool of talent among its staff capable and qualified development teams. Outsourcing the development of your application to specialized developers is highly recommended when you do not have enough knowledge to do it yourself.

How does Elitech Systems work?

Define your project : Describe your project in the most detailed way possible and receive a quote in 24h.

Validate the offer : Our matching algorithm will find the ideal team to design your project. You will receive several offers including the final price, deadlines, features, warranties, maintenance and conditions. Accept and sign the one that suits you.

Development of your project: A project manager will be in charge of monitoring progress and facilitating the exchange between the parties throughout the project duration. You will receive and validate the partial progress of the project until the end of it.

Step 6: The launch

When the development process is over, it’s time to launch your app. Keep in mind that it’s important to continually work on updates, new features, and improved content.

But how do you make sure people download your app? How can you use mobile marketing to make the app attractive in the App Store?

Here are some tips to make your launch successful:

Find early adopters, try to reach them, and make sure that word of mouth will have a positive impact on their social circle.

Communicate clearly about the features of the application. Why? Because users will tend to look for features rather than a name if they do not know you yet.

Include screenshots to give an idea of how the app works.

If you offer a paid app, try to make a free trial available. In this way, users will be encouraged to try your new application.

Use Google’s Indexing App, which will index your mobile app in Google’s search results. A button will allow the user to directly access the application from the search engine.

By following this step-by-step plan, you make sure you do not forget any of the parts that are essential to the success of your application project. What do you expect? Get started!

About ten years ago, almost everyone who accessed the Internet used a desktop computer. The solution for a digitized planet where smartphone and tablet users expect rich and intuitive web experiences like those found on desktops will be responsive mobile design.

The mobile design reagent is not a quick fix. This could solve the problem of layout of the screen size, but there are other intrinsic problems with the responsive approach that many marketers are flying over.

Here are some common mistakes that could affect your responsive mobile conversion.

inflated images

The images pose a major problem of sensible conversion. Because a responsive website uses unique markup across multiple devices, it’s important to ensure that only large, attractive images are shown on the screens.

For image-rich websites, their problems start with the speed of the mobile page due to the size of the high resolution images rendered on the wrong device. In addition, the cost of the wasted bandwidth used to send heavy images to the wrong devices is throwing money away. In this case, it is necessary to use lossy compression to completely reduce the size of the image while maintaining the depth. You should also know that hacks guarantee that you can constantly send the right images to the right devices.

2: slow loading time of the page

Web pages with slow loading times are a major problem because mobile users are very irritated by slow web pages. According to the Akamai study, “40% will abandon a web page if it takes more than three seconds to load”. And “64% of buyers who are not satisfied with their visit to the site will go elsewhere to shop next time.”

Web visitors tend to get worse if they have to wait too long to see your web content. Users can handle up to 10 seconds of loading time before they leave, but even a delay of a few seconds is enough to create an unpleasant user experience.

A number of the world’s largest companies understand that the performance of the site and the importance given to the time of their users can be a competitive advantage in the market. This is a big part of the philosophy of Google and Facebook.

3: Long Forms

Nobody likes having to fill out long forms on office sites; However, this becomes even more detestable when you have to type several details with your thumbs on mobile.

Avoid the use of long, tedious forms that make users type a lot. Long forms not only frustrate your users, but also affect your conversion rates when you use them for any type of transaction. Take the example of Expedia, which lost $ 12 million in revenue because it was using a useless form field that confused its users.

By reducing their form fields from four to three, HubSpot has improved its conversion rates by 50%. When it comes to forms, shorter is always better, especially on mobile.

4: Ignore the intention of the mobile user

Another common mistake that hurts reactive mobile conversion is the assumption that responsive design will solve all the problems. While a responsive design supports many mobile UX issues, it does not necessarily take into account the user’s goals.

According to smartinsights.com, there is a 270% difference between conversion rates for desktops and mobile devices, because people are mistaken about mobile websites.

On desktop computers, long titles and many words sometimes have a totally opposite effect to mobile devices. More text on mobile devices will hide the page and push the user away from their goal, which is mostly the call to action.

Apart from the menu bar, always be sure to help your visitors easily navigate your web page, especially the call to action buttons. When designing your site, consider mobile users and dramatically simplify their journey to your website by targeting your conversion rate.

Conclusion

Mobile media usage is growing faster than desktop, TV, radio, and print. More people are using mobile devices to access the Internet than ever before, so it’s essential to develop mobile sites that are simple and fun to use. Sites that are difficult to navigate exasperate mobile users, forcing them to leave your sites and locate other sites.

If you do not make your website truly mobile-friendly, your visitors will not fill out your forms, abandon their shopping cart, leave your site and do business with your competitors. Of course, this will hurt your conversion rate.
